IPO Rush Alert: 13 Companies, Rs 15,000 Crore Listings Ahead
Share

The Indian capital market has once again turned vibrant as SEBI recently approved 13 companies to bring their IPOs within a week. This news has created a wave of excitement, and in the coming months, a major IPO listing spree could be on the cards. Among these companies are big names like Urban Company and boAt, both hugely popular among today’s youth.

This is a significant development that not only opens new opportunities for these companies but also for the Indian economy and investors.

Let’s take a closer look at which companies SEBI has approved to launch IPOs and when they are expected to hit the market.

What’s Happening?

SEBI has given final approval, also called an ‘observation’, to 13 companies for their IPOs. With this, companies can launch their public issue within a year. All of these firms had filed their Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) between March and June, and SEBI cleared these proposals in August.
Interestingly, despite weak sentiment in the secondary market, six out of these 13 companies are planning to raise more than Rs 1,000 crore each. Altogether, these IPOs could collectively raise over Rs 15,000 crore.

Upcoming IPOs – Major Companies

The most talked-about names in this list are Urban Company and boAt’s parent company, Imagine Marketing. Backed by investors such as Elevation Capital and Accel, Urban Company is set to enter the market with its Rs 1,900 crore IPO. This includes a fresh issue of Rs 429 crore and an Offer for Sale (OFS) worth Rs 1,471 crore.

Meanwhile, consumer electronics brand boAt has revived its IPO plans worth Rs 2,000 crore through the confidential pre-filing route, having filed draft papers this April.

Apart from these two big names, the list also features renewable energy player Juniper Green Energy, Jain Resource Recycling, Mouri Tech, Ravi Infrabuild Projects, Pace DigiteK, Omnitech Engineering, Corona Remedies, KSH International, Alkem Lifescience, Priority Jewels, and Om Freight Forwarders.

Rising Investor Demand in the IPO Market

India’s primary market is witnessing remarkable momentum. The companies that recently received SEBI’s approval had submitted their DRHPs between March and June. This clearance comes amid a surge in listings, with August alone seeing 12 mainboard debuts and 34 SME listings.
So far this year, 50 companies have been listed, more than a dozen of them in August alone. This clearly indicates strong investor demand and sustained interest in new offerings.

What’s in It for Investors?

Retail investors now have the chance to participate in companies across a variety of sectors. Brands like Urban Company and boAt, which enjoy direct consumer connect, are likely to attract younger, tech-savvy investors.

The funds raised via IPOs will primarily be used for business expansion, debt repayment, and providing exits to existing shareholders. This will strengthen company balance sheets and support future growth, which could ultimately benefit shareholders. However, investors should carefully evaluate financials, business strategies, and market conditions before investing.

What’s Next?

India’s IPO market is showing strong momentum. With SEBI’s approval paving the way for 13 new companies, bigger listings could follow in the coming months. Currently, more than 70 companies are awaiting SEBI’s final nod, including well-known brands like Lenskart, Hero Motors, and Indira IVF.
Together, these companies are estimated to raise nearly Rs 1.4 trillion, signalling that India’s primary market could bring even more attractive opportunities for investors in the near future.
